Industry & Power activity was established after the first Gulf War in 1991 to
serve the local desalination, defence, oil and power generation industries.
We started our services to these industries initially in electrical equipment
repair e.g. motors, transformers, switchgears then extended to heavy
mechanical equipment repair which includes gas/steam turbines,
compressors…etc...
We offer the above services with our partners who are internationally reputed
companies in the above works such as Paramount Arabia.
We have fully equipped motor rewinding, compressor over-hauling workshops in Kuwait, Saudi and Dubai where we take up rewinding of motors up to 250 HP. We are a member of the prestigious “Electrical Apparatus Service Association (EASA)”. In addition, we are actively involved in equipment / material supply to various power plants, refineries and other industries. We represent some reputable manufacturers such as Emerson Motors (US Motors), Copeland compressors, Kuwait Catalyst Company, Pentol “Fuel Additives” , 3T’s and Trinity Industries , FLIR Thermography, Serck Services, KAM Controls, Clark-Reliance and Accenture and its various smart metering “solutions”.

Following are the major activities, which we are offering presently:
- Repair/rewinding of HT motors/generators/power transformers
- Repair/overhaul of steam turbines/gas turbines
- Repair/overhaul of pumps and gas compressors
- Refurbishment of rotating equipment elements.
- Dynamic balancing of large rotors
- Instrument calibration/repair/installation services
- Site inspection, tear-down, repair, and assembly and start up of all process equipment in power plants / refineries / desalination plants etc.
- Supply, installation and servicing of waste treatment equipment and incinerators in collaboration with 3Ts, UK. 3Ts International Ltd is specialist in hazardous waste treatment projects and a leader in waste treatment, incineration, landfill, landfill gas collection and non- burn technology. 3Ts has worked all over the GCC countries.
Special Projects:
Gulf Group takes pride in possessing extensive expertise in various engineering disciplines as well as project management.
We work with oil companies, contractors and government entities.
Examples of special projects:
- EPC, construction and project management contracts.
- Plastic lining to pipes, pipelines, tubes and fittings (to protect against corrosion, erosion and scaling).
- Corrosion inspection, NDT and cathodic protection
- Laying of natural gas (NG) pipelines, buying & selling NG in/outside Kuwait, filling and distribution of NG cylinders and export of NG (with prior approval from Ministry of Energy of Kuwait); all via a special official concession acquired recently.
- Extensive experience in slickline oilfield services.
We can work on lump sum, turn key, unit rate, cost plus and re-measure contracts. We have the necessary contacts and relations to get into joint ventures and sub-contract agreements with specialised companies depending on the nature of the task and the required finished product. |
